Emberfall Saga
Emberfall Saga does something clever: it gives you a full party RPG that respects the fact you're on a phone. Battles are turn-based, menus are big and readable, and you can set the pace to fast when you've got the hang of a fight. I didn't expect to care about the story, but the writing has a melancholy edge that pulled me along for the whole 15 hours.
Party building is the real heart of it. Four characters, each with a skill tree that forces actual choices rather than just handing you everything. I rerolled my mage build twice because I kept finding gear that pushed me in a different direction. That kind of fiddling is exactly what I want from a mobile RPG.
It's not flawless. The early grind is a touch slow and the map can be confusing before you unlock fast travel. Push through the first couple of hours though and it opens right up.
