About

Pocket Lumen started as a shared chat between a few friends who kept sending each other screenshots of weird little games. At some point the messages got too long to be messages, so we turned them into a website. Nothing fancy, just people who like playing things on a phone during lunch breaks and late trains.,We care about indie and smaller studio releases because that's where the surprises live. A big budget game usually tells you exactly what it is from the trailer. A tiny one can fool you completely, in a good way, and finding those is half the fun.,How we pick games is simple. We download a lot, we delete most of them, and the handful that keep us coming back for a week or two end up getting written about. No studio decides what we cover. If a game bores us by day two, it probably won't make the catalogue.,Every review on here is something at least one of us actually finished or sank serious time into. We write down first impressions, then come back after we've lived with a game for a while, because that second opinion is usually the honest one.
